Pump Out Use Guidelines at Breakwater Cove Marina

Breakwater Cove Marina provides pump‑out and environmental services to the boating public; however, these services are located on private marina property, and all private docking rules apply. Unauthorized docking is not permitted.

All boaters must follow this required instruction:

Please check in with the Fuel Dock radio Channel 9, (831) 647-9402 or Marina Office (831) 373-7857 when you are pulling up, or call ahead so we can direct you. This applies to all vessels, every time.

1. Docking Requirement – No Unauthorized Tie‑Ups

  • All vessels must radio Channel 9 or call the Marina Office at 831‑373‑7857, option 1 before approaching the service dock.

  • Staff will confirm whether space is available and provide docking direction.

  • Vessels arriving without checking in will be instructed to depart immediately and call for direction.

  • This is the same process used for fueling and applies to all public services.

2. Blackwater Pump‑Out Procedures

Location: East side of the marina, adjacent to the Fuel Dock.

Process:

  • Radio or call the Fuel Dock before approaching.

  • Dock only after receiving clearance.

  • Follow posted pump‑out instructions or click here for instruction.

Time Limit:

  • Vessels may remain only for the duration of the pump‑out.

  • Once finished, vessels must depart immediately.

  • If additional time is needed, vessels must check in again so staff can determine whether space is available.

3. Bilge Pump‑Out & Oil Disposal Procedures

  • These services are located at the service dock as part of the marina’s environmental compliance program.

  • Vessels must radio or call ahead for direction before docking.

  • No vessel may tie up without authorization.

Time Limit:

  • Vessels may remain only for the duration of the disposal activity.

  • Immediate departure is required once finished.

4. Service Dock Use & Time Limits

  • It must remain clear and available at all times.

  • Vessels may not wait, stage, or hold position at the dock without authorization.
